LU Minqi

Hello everyone, my name is LU Minqi, and I'm studying in the economics program at ISPA.

Like most young people my age, I'm still undecided about my future. I'd like to set up a business in China, which is why I chose economics. Everyone has a dream, and we have to make it come true: "there is nothing difficult in the world for those who want to apply themselves to doing well" says the Chinese proverb. However, the dream may seem far away, but if we make the effort, we can get closer to it little by little. I think I work hard to get what I want. I remember when I first learned to speak French. I was disappointed because of the failure. Most students could read sentences, but I could only read a few words... At that time, syllables were difficult for me...

After I got home, I'd lock myself in my room to read, listen to the radio, and read some more... Thanks to my efforts, my level of French soared. Of course, like climbing a mountain, the path is difficult, but the only way to succeed is to work, and in the end we may find that our efforts are worth the cost.

Unlike the other students in my class, I've been in France for almost two years now. I finished my French course with level B2 at another institute.

In my opinion, ISPA has two advantages over other institutes.

Firstly, there are French courses, but also courses in our speciality. At other schools, you can only take French courses. The ISPA teachers help us to learn this language, and they also give the university courses at the same time, as many of our teachers also work at the university or IUT. They teach us how to analyze documents, and how to take good notes. Above all, they teach us how to study at university.

Secondly, the teachers and staff at ISPA are very helpful. For students who have just arrived in France, it's difficult to communicate with the French. For example, many of us didn't know how to register for university, so the teachers and staff help us to do that.

But that doesn't mean that the teachers do it for us; they're like compasses that give us directions, and then the students have to do the work themselves.

Time flies, and I hope we'll have a great end to our youth. And above all, I hope that everyone can realize their dreams.
